Katz Deli
Despite the 20 minute wait, the people sitting elbow to elbow, the tourists all craning to see where Harry Met Sally, Katz's pastrami and corned beef sandwiches were still worth the mighty $15 bucks. Marbled tender slices just crisp and peppered at the edges, the meat is literally put between two pieces of bread and nothing else (mustard if you ask for it). Coupled with two choices of pickles, one fresh and light and the other turned olive green from all the brine juice, the whole experience feels like a full course meal: satisfying and siesta-inducing.
