Inwood Hill Park Spring

Not to be bias because I live right next door, but Inwood Hill Park is my favorite Manhattan park. Central and Riverside are great, but always crowded...and too organized and sculpted for my tastes. A park for me, means nature taking center stage, wild nature, unplanned and flourishing. Not many Manhattanites trek up to Inwood, all the better because the park is deliciously deserted. You can get lost in it and feel a part of Manhattan before it became synonymous with concrete jungle. This is a jungle of a different kind...

And i picked some wildflowers to put into my teapot.
