Something I am so glad for is that my job allows me to select interesting reads and constantly be dealing with great literature. I still haven't figured out which novels to teach next year, but this summer I'm beginning to collect my top short stories/essays list. It's so nostalgic for me to revisit some of my own high school and college texts....here are the anthologies I'm flipping though...this time with 9th grade English and a Creative Writing elective in mind...
